The town of Malacky is an important cultural center of Záhorie. During the year, the town and various organizations organize exhibitions, concerts and events. The most well-known are Music Spring, 1st May Festival in Malacky, Children's Joy Day, Cultural Summer, Hunting Day, Theater Festival, Malacká šošovica and Adventné Malacky.
March - the month of the book was first declared in the former Czechoslovakia in 1955 in honor of Matej Hrebenda, as an effort to maintain and support a lasting interest in books. The Slovak Libraries Week, announced by the Slovak Library Association in 1999, also fits well into the month of the book, and the last week of March is regularly organized. The goal of the Slovak Libraries Week is to positively raise the profile of libraries as cultural and educational institutions through the most diverse range of activities and events. Every year, the Town Library prepares discussions with writers, quizzes, exhibitions, experiential readings, free enrollment of new readers and many other activities for the public. The culmination of the Slovak Libraries Week is an event to support children's reading - Night with Andersen.
Music Spring is a music event that takes place every year in March and April. It is a series of concerts of various music genres.
The city of Malacky, as the main organizer in cooperation with city organizations, has been preparing the magnificent 1st May Festival event every year since 2001. On this day, Malacky is visited not only by the inhabitants of the city, but by the entire region. During the Festival, citizens and tourists, old and young alike, have the opportunity for cultural and sports activities, with a number of craft stalls and events for the whole day. Visitors to the event can look forward to folk music concerts, performances by pop and rock groups, theater performances, sports competitions and fun games for the little ones.
For those interested in history and good entertainment, MCK Malacky - Michal Tillner Museum is preparing a two-day event Museums and Galleries Day and Museums and Galleries Night with a varied program and creative workshops for children.
